In my application I had to drill through the original bracket to install this. This is such a common bracket on GM products that you might think Accel would make their own complete bracket to simplify installation for those who don't have a Dremel or perhaps don't have the skills to modify the bracket. In terms of performance, it works. I have one of these on my old Trans Am and on my race tractor with a 350 in it. As for the performance increase, I'm skeptical of their claims. but at about the same price as the stock, I'll go with this one in hopes that it actually outperforms the stock.
