These strong, wide-rimmed cylindrical heads are ideal for mounting casters with a handle on almost anything. More recently I've used mine in a portable filing cabinet for my office, but I've also used them to upgrade my portable generator. The sockets fit standard 7/16" x 7/8" ring shank reels and can be modified to fit almost anything. My generator is a two-wheeled variant, which often makes it difficult to pack tightly with other equipment when not in use. With the addition of a few reels, the problem was finally solved. Next time I need to install casters I will definitely be buying a set of these sockets again. I got lucky with them and so did you.
