Let's start with the worst: it does NOT keep drinks hot for 12 hours! 3 hours at best 4 hours is basically room temperature. I'm really disappointed because I did a lot of research on them and everyone said they were amazing. Before you ask or be surprised, I tried preheating a bottle of boiling water and it made a difference. About half an hour. Tried with a metal lid and a sip of coffee and no difference. I tried a straw cap with water, it leaks! I have no idea if this works with water, keeps it cold, I bought it for hot drinks. I use it indoors so it's not like using it outside in the snow. I fill it with boiling water overnight and put a cap on. 6 hours later and it was tepid at best. This saddens me as it is a really nice bottle that seems to be durable and the box it came in is even nice but useless. It's not even heavy enough to be a paperweight. Even if you fill it with water, the straw cover will leak! So maybe I have a defect? I doubt it. How do you ruin a stainless steel bottle? Maybe it's a fake? Do they fake water bottles? I don't know, but if you want your coffee to be hot, try something else. I wish I could keep the box, I would really return it.
