Review on Rampage Products 86623 Fold-Up Rear Storage Rack, Interior Mount, for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 4-Door Unlimited, Black Powder Coat by Brian Nelson

Installed on a 2015 JKU shelf, installed with no problems and works very well. The shelf itself was scratched and dented but not enough to make a difference as we plan to put a non-slip mat on it. It opens and closes securely and installation was relatively easy. This shelf does not work well with a rear seat recliner kit - it will rub against the rear seat and will not open unless the rear seatbacks are lowered. We will stow it in the jeep without the back kit. The shelf received is NOT the same as that shown in the photo. We were all black. As a result, the shelf does not look as nice as in the photo. Also, the clips that attach to the bars are not padded and can scratch the paintwork if left unsecured (we used tape in the clips). There is also a wire on the passenger crossbar that will pinch from the clamp if not placed inside the wire. The support posts will interfere with any mat you have in the back and push them out in the corners. This could have been avoided if the struts had fitted on the sides of the studs rather than in the middle. Despite the inconveniences, this is a very good shelf. We are mostly satisfied with that.
