08/27/2018 I got this case in the mail today and quickly assembled everything. I am very happy to announce that the SUPERPi case is a very nice retro console case for your Raspberry Pi. The case itself looks a bit cumbersome and very robust. The attention to detail is first class. Everything works well, especially the microSD storage area. It's a very nice aesthetic touch. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and have RetroFlag's shutdown/restart script installed. It works, it's simple and clear. As for the power issues that came with the NES Case (I have one of the old NES Cases without the Safe Shutdown option). I haven't had any problems so far. I am currently using a 5V 3A power supply to power the Pi. The cables used in the SUPERPi are slightly thicker than in the NES, so there shouldn't be any problems later. Now to the controller. The controller is just as well built and detailed as the case itself. It has the same plastic texture as the case and feels very comfortable in my hands. The buttons respond well to pressure, as befits a game controller. Yes, the X and Y buttons have the same recessed shape as the original SNES controller. I really hope RetroFlag plans to sell the controllers separately and maybe even offer an NES style for their other case. All in all, this is a great option if you're looking for a SNES-style case for your Pi.
