I installed this tailgate handle on a 2004 double cab Tundra. to remove the fender trim with the tailgate down. Once the tray is removed, you can access the handle by removing the pad and metal cover. Loosen the two 10mm screws holding the tailgate handle. If you decide to use a key lock, all you have to do is remove the retaining clip that holds the lock in place. Once the clip is removed, the key lock can be removed from the housing and inserted into the handle, then re-secured using the retaining clip provided with the new liftgate handle. I read another review where someone mentioned that not all devices were received. to install a lock. No equipment required, everything necessary is there so I don't know what he/she meant. Reinstallation is easy. Just work backwards. The whole process from start to finish took around 10-15 minutes and a YouTube video was NOT needed or required. Overall a good product. I'm glad I can open the tailgate again.
