Works! My wife was ironing my pants at too high a temperature and the soleplate of the iron was coated with something (molten material from the synthetic component of my pants?) which made it difficult to move smoothly across the surface. I used the cleaning kit and successfully reset the soleplate (my pants were the second item using a brand new iron). detergent applied) it's supposed to be washable but you have to do it in one load where the color isn't a problem (if I had known about this I would have washed it in hot water with my jeans; unfortunately it was done in one load [ cold water] that contained white that subsequently turned a green tint.)
