I applied the stair treads to some old plastic auto ramps that were becoming increasingly difficult to use due to the fact that the surface had become glazed and slippery from the spinning of my car’s tires—the surface plastic had actually melted due to the heat generated by this action over the years. The first photo shows the ramp on the left in its degraded condition, while next to it, is its companion after I applied the non-slip tread tape. The next photo is my vehicle on the newly improved set of ramps. The ramps are much easier to use now that the tires roll right up the incline with no backsliding because much more friction is created by the rough granular surface of the tape.
