You can't beat the price!

I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first. The price really put me off but I went for it and I'm so happy I did! I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty and tinted windows so basically I wanted that so I could safely reverse at night. It works better than I expected! Installation: I read in reviews that people don't have enough cables. I booked extra so I didn't have to stop halfway to disassemble my jeep to await its arrival. In the end I didn't need it. The wire was more than enough for my application. I actually had to put about 8 feet of wire into the headliner when I was done! The easiest way I've found is to start with the camera and work with my monitor. I installed it on my license plate with no problems, drilled a hole in the car behind the license plate, routed the wires through and inserted a grommet (not included) to prevent leakage. (That would be pretty standard for an SUV. You could probably do without drilling.) From there I had to remove all the trim from the back, route the wires along the existing wires, and then I got to the taillight. This is where things can get a little more complicated. You have to press the reverse light. I found mine by looking online for a schematic. After connecting my red wire there, I connected the black wire to the ground wire I already had for my hitch. Stop at this point. Take your mirror and turn it on! Have someone put it in reverse and make sure it burns! Mine did just that, so I unplugged it from the mirror, started routing the wires all the way, and plugged in the mirror. I was very impressed. Looks almost factory. I don't have a million wires (actually none). It can be a little hard to see on the screen when the sun hits the mirror, but that's pretty typical and doesn't affect the quality of the product in any way. The camera works great at night. I really can't say anything bad about this set. If you have general electrical knowledge, you can install this yourself! I would buy it again. And right now everything is plug and play, if I want to upgrade something, my wiring is done, I just have to unplug this one and plug in a new one!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Almost never
