Review on 🔩 Enhanced Drill Bit for Kreg Jig Heavy Duty Projects by Jarom Bulles

Used this bit for just over a week and drilled about a dozen holes for new Kreg HD bolts in total. There's no great use here, I'm a master at getting small projects done around the house. The project currently underway is a deck expansion for our original limited builder deck that needed a little tweaking. Today, on my second hole at the end of the 2 x 4 diagonal brace extending the deck, the pilot section of the pilot drill unexpectedly broke off. My guess is that Kreg Tool has a contract with a supplier that uses lower quality steel. I have a request for the Revain seller to send it back as defective, we'll see how it goes. SEE PHOTO. UPDATE: The Hartville Tool salesman donated the ball to Kreg Tool. By that I mean they told me to contact Craig directly for a replacement. Emailed and sent my instructions to the Kreg tool. There is no information yet. UPDATE: Kreg Tool will send a replacement and verify the issue. Let me just say that I think Kreg Tool offers a great product with an exceptional design to perform the functions. ALL the problems I have had stem from the metal used in production undermining an otherwise great product. UPDATE: The replacement is holding up well.
