We tried 6 different brands and sizes and this one was the clear winner. Most toddlers don't wear hats and the main reasons for this are the flexible brim and poor fit. This coolibar brim is the best because it is designed like a baseball cap and keeps its shape so it doesn't obstruct your vision. The back flap covers the neck and extends beyond the brim for excellent face coverage/shading. The size adjuster is in an unusual place under the flap, but it works because it doesn't catch on anything as the child runs. This is a great hat for kids with big heads.
