The lens is well suited for a user who does not place high demands on the combination of attributes it possesses. Both the reasonable cost and the high level of optical performance have contributed to the lens's rising popularity. The benefits of it include: A regular design, an exceptional range of focal lengths, and a weight and dimension that are both quite small. For such a budget-friendly zoom, it has really good sharpness over the entire range as well as color reproduction. There is only a slight amount of chromatic aberration. Intrinsic quiet focus. Some cons: When utilizing this lens, the first thing that instantly draws attention is the geometric distortion. Sometimes they are nothing short of terrible. Hence, if you plan on shooting architecture, you should get ready to make adjustments to the converter to correct the distortion. Yet, this is not the case when it comes to portrait photography. There is some vignetting, although not a significant amount. Although it is built into the lens, the image stabilization is not particularly strong in my opinion. While using a long focal length, it is obvious in the viewfinder that the image stabilizer is having trouble keeping up with the task at hand because the image wobbles. The lenses that Nikon makes have superior image stabilization.
