Weighed exactly 2.5kg including tent body, rain cover, 2 poles, 12 pegs and storage bags. Package weight may be less as some configurations do not require all 12 pins. The instruction manual was nylon, not paper, so it won't deteriorate when wet. I've been a backpacker/bikepacker for a long time and I usually carry my load fairly lightly. I would not use this tent for hiking as it would be too heavy. I typically use a 1 person tent that weighs around 2.5/3 pounds. I will be using it to pack bikes as I don't mind the extra weight on the rack. The tent was well made for the price and if I use it for 3-4 years I'm satisfied. There were a few threads of down and some of the stitching around one door is a bit uneven. The only issue (and it's more of a cosmetic issue) 1 of the nylon clips that snap onto the bars was installed backwards. This does not interfere with assembly or use, but it is disadvantageous. I plan to contact the company and see if they want to replace the tent body. Overall this is a good little tent for backpackers on a budget. TO UPDATE! Contacted the company about a plastic button sewn on backwards. They asked for photos which I sent. They refused my request to send a replacement body. Did they offer me $5 as a gesture? I didn't want to go through with a refund but now I will. I am not sure if I will reorder or not. I really thought the company (Gonex) would be more receptive.
