The wipers on my 2008 Mazda 3 were from the dealer. I had to replace them, but I didn't want to mess with the mechanic. I found them here and hesitated because I didn't know the brand. Installation literally took less than a minute for both of them. Removing the old blades took the longest, mostly because they had been there for over a decade. The wiper arm is made of polymer. The blade itself is made of high quality silicone material and has a protective cover. Be sure to remove the yellow cover after installation. I've found these blades to be very good at removing insects, especially succulents that fly at 70 miles per hour. I use Rain-X Fluid and this combination keeps my windshield very clean and resistant to nasty substances. The other day I was following a coal truck that was blowing smoke out of chimneys that were soon filling. Soot contains raw diesel fuel and tends to smear when wipers are used. Each time I fill my container, I add an ounce of household ammonia. It quickly cuts diesel and street oil. I didn't have to stop and clean the windshield as the blades were very efficient in removing everything. The blades come with an instruction manual for small cars. It has pictures and is well made, so even a beginner can replace them. I suggest teaching your new driver these things so he can help himself. This is a good product for their workouts and they are inexpensive enough to easily replace. I will build other cars with these blades even if they are not needed. I'm very impressed with the quality. Delivery was quick. Stay here because we are close to the center.
