As an iPhone enjoyer since 2016, my latest model is iPhone SE, which I purchased 1.5 years ago. While the industry trend is to constantly roll out larger screens and a bunch of extra functions that you do not even need, in my humble opinion, Apple slammed a home run with their SE production by keeping the size optimal with a 4.7-inch Retina HD screen of 1334 x 750 resolution, and 326ppi pixel density at the entry price of ~$430.
It is neat and sleek, fits in your pocket without bulking your pants, and the interface is smooth to navigate. Also, Apple didn't hold back from adding extra safety measures with water-resistant casing. Your iPhone SE 64GB can sustain water pressure at a 1-meter depth for up to 30 minutes without passing on into the afterlife. It is certainly a valued feature for anybody who loves the beach life or watching YouTube while showering.
The next point is bittersweet to mention because it revolves around iPhone SE's resilience, which I've unfortunately tested by dropping it onto ceramic tiles on a few different occasions. It took about 4 times before it finally cracked the glass on the back casing, but not in full, as it just resembles a flower-like hackle. I've grown to appreciate it because it gives my iPhone SE 64 GB a little character & style. At the same time, it could have easily cracked with the first fall, but the screen is still intact. So handle your device with care and caution.
One of the negatives of this iPhone model is the camera. While many reviews claim that it has nearly the same quality as an iPhone 11, then that's not the case. Don't get me wrong, the pictures are definitely clean as long as the lighting is fine, but it is not the best choice for someone wanting to use the phone mainly for photography. Slightly worse camera technology is one of the main factors helping Apple to keep the entry price low for an iPhone SE. However, the latest 2022 model has an upgraded camera that is better.
With all of that said, I would voice the following: iPhone SE is a perfect smart device for people who love Apple but do not have a lot of cash to splurge and believe the phone should fit in their pocket. I cannot speak for somebody else, but I think the phone sizes are getting ridiculously large and impractical. Luckily, there is an iPhone SE 64 GB to keep the sanity!
I hope you find my review useful, and if you've been thinking of getting an Apple device on a budget then that's an excellent choice. I've given it a 4-star rating only due to the camera, other than that it is nothing short of five stars.
