I love these 3M angled sandblasters. I agree that they can break if your sanding material gets stuck in them, but I don't think they wear out any faster than sandpaper. In fact I think it's better than sandpaper because you only have to hit it hard a few times to clean the sponge, if it's clogged you can't do that with sandpaper. I also like that they can stick to the object of your grind. I would say they work best on flat or round objects. They are ideal for sanding drywall, penetrating into corners for a crisp finish. Use 150 grit for intermediate coats and 220 grit for final sanding. A light touch is enough. PSI recommends not getting them wet as they clog very easily.
