Review on Makita 96095 General Purpose Carbide Tipped by Justin Butler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

With a cordless saw absolutely essential for cutting sheet metal and some larger materials, forget about composite blades!

This blade works with a brushless hacksaw 18V. The saw is a little marvel, mainly for cutting sheet metal, some more steel, no problem. Reinforcement 1/2 inch, no problem. The new blade cuts through tin like butter, and I've cut through thick recycled corrugated iron roofing, which is rare these days. I needed two blades to make a 3000 square foot area. Feet with hips and valleys. Cutting thick material. I used to make roofs with commercial composite sheets, a type of sand. These blades burn and smoke heavily, disappear quickly, and cost a lot more than this blade on a Makita cordless saw. A Makita saw with this blade is excellent in its capabilities. Not heaven by any means, but far, far, far from the hell of cheap composite blades that get expensive when you cut more than a few things.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No.
