Deep enough for my Leviton Wetguard plug

I used this version of the socket cover because I have a Leviton 14W47 waterproof plug which is used for repairing cords with damaged plugs. I've tried other covers that might fit, but settled on this one because of the extra space. The plug is about 2-1/2" long and the cord that protrudes from it adds some length. As you can see in one of the pictures you lose space when the lid is closed and you actually have about 3-1/4." to shrink past in place of 5-1/4" inches. If you have a really long plug I don't know what you're going to do. It looks like you will is it possible to put a plug in the lid and when the lid is closed is it possible to plug in the plug at the same time? Or as there is a deep base version maybe you could use this deep cap (they are not sold together, as far as I can tell) combine by another 1/2"+ (?) inch. I photographed the bases side by side. In my opinion, the waterproof foam pad is not big enough. If the position of the outlet is not entirely accurate (e.g. an old house with small holes in metal boxes) the pad may be sucked in. This can be seen in one of the pictures from below, the pad is on one The end is sort of sucked in because it's not big enough on one side when it was shrink wrapped.
