Review on πŸ‘ Alani Nu BCAA Branched Chain Essential Amino Acids: Enhance Muscle Recovery and Hydration with Sour Peach Rings - 30 Servings by Mary Campbell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worth a try but this is an expensive long acting supplement

The two main reasons I chose this BCAA product were the ingredients (I liked that it had glutamine in it, also I like that it's caffeine-free) and the taste (I LOVE sour candies, so I love the idea of a sour peach drink!) The powder mixes easily and doesn't have the grainy mouthfeel that I often find with glutamine supplements. The taste is NOT sour - no. even removed. If you're expecting something similar to your favorite sour gummies, you'll be disappointed. I was surprised to find out that it actually EXACTLY resembles the guava-flavored HongYuan candies you get after dinner at most Asian restaurants. The taste isn't bad, but it's not the most popular either. I mix it with 16 ounces of cold water for a "smoother" flavor (and extra moisture) and still find it quite strong. At $40 for 30 servings, it's slightly more expensive than other BCAA products. If you drink it daily, that's almost $500 a year. I probably won't repurchase this particular flavor, but I will try the sour gummy worm flavor before switching to another brand.
