Bought this mainly to replace other brand that started leaking it's heating source (flax seeds). This one isn't recommended to get warmer than what I would like, so the effect is that is cools quicker. The weight of the product is nice and is uniformly solid, not like some that feel like half the heating pack is empty. Given the photos, I mistakenly assumed there was something affixing both sides together (like Velcro) so the pack could form like a "scarf" around the neck. That is not the case. Overall, the product is very well made and heats nicely. I would say for someone looking for pain relief, this may not be for you as it wouldn't get ward enough or stay warm long enough to be really effective.
