They are no better than the originals. They are thin plastic. Repaired the two originals by drilling a hole in the handle at the bend in the handle and attaching it with epoxy. Alternatively, you can drill a hole, install a metal spindle (a screw will do), and use 3/8" copper tubing that has been upset to glue a new arm and epoxy over the spindle. One of the first two repaired and the second repaired corrugated pipe last 23 years after failure after about 5 years. Bought 2 of these for a remaining toilet that failed after the first repair method. The handle was too shattered to be realistically restored, having aged about 15 years after being repaired. This handle has been reinforced with epoxy at the bend where the originals failed. Served about 3 years. Bought 2 so gave up on this one. Will repair it as described and order another one just to be on the safe side. I hate planned obsolescence (I think that's American Standard's business model for printer cartridges). At least it's not an I-Phone battery.
