Works great but make sure you buy a wireless remote socket to use the extension cord

I've always found it worth tidying up the Power Roller when you work much. The Sidekick is similar to the Power Rollers I've used in the past, but there was one major issue I had to get creative with. Previous Power Roller models I've used had the ink feed button on the bottom of the extension handle. The paint flowed through the extension handle. It made sense. The partner design didn't make sense when I tried using the extension handle. Because the pump's on/off switch—and therefore paint flow control—is in the handle that connects to the roller, when installing an extension stand, the button with the roller is placed at the top of the extension. As a result, you have to press a button to start paint, quickly move the roller with the pole toward the ceiling to apply paint, and then quickly pull the roller back down to turn off the pump before too much paint is too much . applied. The paint often dripped because I couldn't get to the roller at the end of the pole fast enough. Very frustrating, especially after previous Power Roller designs have performed much better in this regard. I started thinking about alternative ways to turn the pump on and off and found a solution. I bought a wireless socket with a remote control. I bought this socket from Revain: remote controlled radio socket, heavy duty Fosmon weatherproof outdoor electric switch, 3 pin ETL plug (battery included). I plugged the remote's outlet into the wall and then hooked up a buddy to it. Then I turned on the main power switch on the base of the device and pressed the button on the handle that connected to the top of the stand. After that, I attached a remote control switch to the bottom of the pole and used it to turn the unit on and off. I never had to remove the roller from the blanket (except when my hands got tired). This mount works great. Again, I wouldn't recommend it for smaller jobs due to the cleaning required, but if you paint a lot this block will save you time and paint.

Pros
  • . SUITABLE FOR STRAIGHT LINES: The Wagner 3 inch paint roller offers sharp and even edges making it ideal for painting trim, windows and door frames
Cons
  • possible to choose newer model
