Old Dead Opener Revived

I was three seconds away from dragging my old-ish garage door opener out back and putting it out of it's misery. In a last ditch effort to figure out why I had to be standing underneath the opener for the remote to work, I found this Genie add-on part; and man am I glad I did. The Genie remote works at the end of my 80' driveway! It's a pretty easy install once you figure out where your wall button wires enter the opener. The written instructions are kind of trash, just follow the wiring diagram and it's fairly easy to figure out.The 24v transformer power plug is pretty heavy. I'm sure with garage door vibrations the transformer would work it's way out of the outlet over time and come crashing down. You will need to find a way to support it if your outlet is on the ceiling like mine. I just used a small piece of wood and bolted it to the opener hanger for a support. For reference my opener is a Chamberlain Liftmaster model 3575.One last thing to note is I successfully programed the Homelink button in my '18 GMC Sierra to work with this Genie remote system, so I didn't have to purchase a second Intellicode remote (wife got the remote that came with this kit for her vehicle).
