My back wall was pretty low so I bought a couple of these leaning against the back wall a few months ago. I didn't want them to turn on and off all day so I set a timer on the receiver to turn on from 10pm to 5am. I used a Smart Things hub and a cable that I can control, but any timer will do. A cat would pass by you from time to time, but not too often to annoy me. I set up cameras so I could check what the traffic was like when I was warned. In August at 5:30 the sensors went off. goes away all the time. I pulled out my phone and checked the cameras and there were two robbers. I immediately called 911 and was answered within 9 minutes of my call. These are excellent sensors and I highly recommend them. Cameras are great, but most of the time they're useless for catching the bad guys. Put the baddies into action and get notified of their presence so you can protect yourself and your loved ones.
