Review on PCTV Deluxe Tuner and Video, powered by Pinnacle, with USB 2.0 connectivity by Kyle Robbins

I've received quite a few bad products from Pinnacle including compatibility issues and nightmares when editing in Studio 8 and no support for their Express program. I have a P4/ system with 2.4GHz/1GB RAM and half a terabyte of storage on 7200rpm drives. My USB 2.0 card is loaded correctly. Connecting this product is easy, just install the software and connect. What's on my computer screen. I assumed it was something to do with the TV on Demand feature, but found it impossible to just turn it off. In addition, the video stutters and skips frames for a second several times a minute. The T-Rex media converter would occasionally leave my VOB files out of sync for up to seven seconds. I converted the DVD quality to AVI at 8000Mbps, then back the previous video to MPEG-2 DVD at 4000Mbps. Both times there were serious synchronization problems. I am returning to my ATI AIW.
