Review on Populo Transfer Powered Portable Potable by Maurice Harvey

I bought this pump to dehumidify a low area in a basement. There isn't enough room for a sump so you'll need to use a transfer pump. The problem: If the power goes out, there is no protection against a flooded basement. The answer came with the Populo hybrid pump. I have it installed now and it has been tested on both battery power and AC power. It works very well and seems to produce enough churn. I'm not sure if you can turn on the battery at the same time as AC power so that it switches automatically. Even if it doesn't, I can still manually install the battery in the event of a flood and power outage. Alternatively, you could of course buy a generator, but Poplulo is much cheaper and easier.
