'05 Acura TL (How-To)

Trust me, this is INCREDIBLY easy and will completely solve your shifting problems. -TO 1. Raise the TL on the driver's side (I used a slotted seam just behind the front wheel)2. Remove the front wheel 3. Carefully pry the plastic locking pin out of the wheel arch fender (located at approximately 11 o'clock)4. Pull the fender down and slide it under the wheel hub [4. GREEN SWITCH]5. Pinch and pull the sub-harness6. Using a 22mm ratchet wrench, slide it over the existing switch and release (the switch should release easily)7. Be sure to use the washer provided, screw in the new switch and tighten with the wrench 8. Connect the wire harness [3. GEAR] to8. Using a 10mm socket and extensions, remove the 2 screws securing the sensor cover that hides the 3rd gear shifter9. Follow this sensor cover to the third screw and remove it using a 10mm ratchet wrench (do not confuse)10. Move this sensor cover far enough to reach it, disconnect the wiring harness from the existing switch 11. Make a 22mm deep recess behind the sensor cover and slide it over the existing switch 12. Apply force with a suitable socket wrench and disconnect it from the gearbox 13. Before unscrewing it completely, prepare a new sensor and washer (the minimum amount of liquid will flow from this switch connector, the faster you can poke it with a new part, the less you will get fourteen Be sure to use the washer that came with it, screw in the new switch and tighten with a 15" socket wrench. Connect the wiring harness. Now it's time to flush and fill your transmission, if You haven't done this in a while. I have to give credit to YouTube user "fabolousg4ever" I should have probably wouldn't have tried it if it wasn't for his acura tl transmission pressure switch tutorial video.
