Frustrating for a newbie, but worth the savings

NO MORE sticky pens! Driver Review I'm NOT the easygoing type and totally agree with the other reviewers. The whole job from start to finish took 2 hours. All you need is a Torx screwdriver, a basic upholstery removal kit, and a drill with a fairly wide bit to drill out the plastic screw heads that hold the armrest in place. Watch a few videos first to see what you're getting into. I had to leave my comfort zone when drilling plastic screws. You're trying to undress just enough so the armrest is loose. Use a wide bit and this will leave a flat spot so you can use the screws provided to put it all back together at the end. I actually needed the help of a second person to hold the panel while I reassembled the door panel. One person fastens the parts, the other works with a screwdriver. My BMW X3 is 6 years old and while I love my car I didn't want to spend a stupid amount of money to replace a cheap trim part. This is really a great solution. Passenger Side View Replacing the passenger side is MUCH EASIER to replace - no crazy drilling required. I was having a problem driving screws into a replacement part so I needed a helper to line and tighten everything. The total exchange time was less than 1 hour.
