My mom's well had a problem with really stinky sulfur odor if the water did not have a chance to aerate and sit in the cistern for a while. With heavy water use the stink would come out of the taps into the drinking water, the shower and it was quite unpleasant. I noticed that the filtered water from the fridge never got stinky so I though to add this filter to the whole house. So far it seems to work and is far less expensive than the fancy treatment systems some "experts" said we would need to install. Even if we have to replace the cartridges very often it will still be far less than the thousands one of those systems would have cost. It was easy enough to install but I have all the tools and experience to do it, some may need to hire a plumber. Make sure you have shut off valves at each side and a bypass line for when you need to change the filters.
