*Updated 7/23/2016 *After a year they have become quite finicky and increasingly unreliable and really annoying to use; no battery problem. They've gone into the "backup" pile and I only use factory originals which clean up well with swabs and rubbing alcohol. Lower that to a two star rating. *End of update* They are exactly what they are. Same size, same design, same aesthetic. My Nissan OEM key fobs for my 2007 Frontier are getting a little "rough". New key fobs, two originals and my aftermarket keyboard all had to be re-entered into the truck's system in one session, but that's how Nissan does the programming. There are two small differences worth noting. Buttons need to be pressed for 1/3 to 1/2 second to lock or unlock (and possibly the panic button too). The Nissan Originals for my 2007 Frontier respond instantly. That's probably good; I have a rubber cover on my fob that I carry with my keys because the keys often hit the buttons, including the panic button. This 1/2 second delay is probably for security and to reduce accidental clicks. I have to get used to holding that key on the score. It's good that Nissan locks the car if you don't open the door within a minute of unlocking it with the key fob if you accidentally unlock it. Another small difference is the battery. I opened the key fobs to look inside (they came with a new CR2025 battery) and when you take the battery out the contact pops out. It has to be positioned exactly like that, otherwise it won't work. I had to open the second module to find the exact orientation. Normal key fobs remain in contact when the battery is removed. So be careful if you ever change the battery. On the other hand, you can also use your original key fob electronics and insert them into these new buttons. You can even swap out all the original and non-original parts to create a complete keychain if you tend to damage them. I suspect the badges are printed on the rubber buttons and will probably wear off after a year or so, but I don't know for sure. The Nissan key fobs appear to have white paint embedded in the rubber. My 7 year old keychains didn't lose ink but they did get dirty from my fingers. It can probably be cleaned with alcohol, but for less than $12, why not pick up some shiny spares!
