Despite the fact that it detects leaks, it leaves a thick sticky residue. So if you use it to check your gas tank regulator etc for leaks you will find that it gets pretty sticky over time. I'll be using Swagelok's SNOOP again, which is a lot more expensive but doesn't leave a lot of residue and isn't as toxic as that stuff (ethylene glycol).
