We originally bought these for our dogs to have room for what we like to call a 'co-pilot'. But after a cross country ride we found them to lean really comfortably as they have nice extra padding so you can see your elbows. The dogs seem to enjoy it too and help with their grip. It is very easy to install and takes no more than 10 minutes. You can have a few cold ones and still adjust properly if you know which side comes first. As I mentioned we've ridden cross country and it's still holding up very well and there's no sign of it coming loose anytime soon.
