Review on πŸ–¨οΈ High-Quality Octave Grey ABS Filament Printers: Premium 3D Printing Solutions by Justin Zilinskas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

5 out of 6 not too bad

I have bought several of these printers in different colors. Yellow had several problems.1. When winding, the thread caught and a broken loop stuck out. Not sure where along the line this is. You either have to pay close attention or just throw away the part he's doing when it's over. 2. The shrink wrap they wrap around each spool to hold them tight has melted a bit. When I removed it to load the spool, I had to pick up a lot of dirt from the individual strands. In the end I gave up and just fed the small pieces through the extruder. Weird bubbles formed in several places initially and I believe they were pieces of shrink wrap mixed with ABS. No problems after the first 2-3 parts. These aren't serious problems. They are not insurmountable obstacles. But saving a few bucks versus wasting time or materials due to packaging quality issues isn't worth it to me. In hindsight, instead of wrestling with shrink wrap, I could have just pulled the coil off a few feet and thrown it away. Either way, it's a waste of time or materials. I can't give a product more than 3 stars "Is ok" with annoying problems, even if they aren't that severe. The quality of the ABS itself is ok. how can I say. Ran it a few degrees warmer with better results.
