A tea flame is shown next to these LED candles. Bought them for the altar and ambient light. The light is not glaring, but penetrates well through the hard plastic candle body. The flicker function is almost correct. I especially like that each flame tip has a dark wrap, which is a nice touch. Convenient on/off switch and battery replacement on the bottom of the device; Now I test the timer function. UPDATE: Last night I left all the candles on and when I woke up they were out. Excellent! I think it's been 18 hours because they just turned back on. Turning on the switch appears to turn them on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours. If you want to keep them, turn off the switch and pack them up. This is a good alternative to using a remote control to control multiple candles.
