I bought holdalls (without air) and was able to pack 8 pairs of socks, underwear, 4 pairs of compression shorts, a pair of pants, 3 pairs of shorts, 4 t-shirts, 1 pair of sneakers, flip flops, a belt, a bible, a giant toiletry bag, Folder with 6 compartments filled with notepad, documents, envelopes, stationery, lint roller, pack of disposable razors, showcase, sponge. and a few more little things and yet I had room for other things. I would also like to add that the measurements are true to size. keep it up perfect. The last thing you need for service man/woman is your lost checked baggage.
