Installed this 3/4 hp garage door opener to replace an existing 1/2 hp system that was failing and was no longer allowing me to program remote openers. This chain drive opener has plenty of power for a single 2 car garage door and operates very quietly. I like the battery backup that came with the system which I did not have on the old one, and the pre-programmed remotes and outside opener keypad. If you are installing this system for a new home it probably would be very easy to do with tools generally available, but in my case I was replacing an old system and had to make modifications to the brackets that secure the chain arm to the wall. Just follow the installation instructions, step-by-step and you should be successful.
