Very happy with it. Yes they are expensive but they are worth it. Easily adjustable to cover ANY blind spot. And yes, they stay in place after you set them. Just not in the car wash! I suppose they would certainly have been confused; I wouldn't risk anything. The instructions say to place it as close to the car as possible, but that's not necessarily the best spot. (The thing is, they spin so much they can't help but capture your blind spots wherever you place them, so you can't mess anything up.) Placement preference, however, depends on how you place your normal flats Use side mirrors. For example, I placed mine on the outer edges and not closest to my car because I still prefer to use my usual flat side views to look straight down/behind my car.
