Review on 🚪 Universal Garage Door Remote compatible with LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Linear, Stanley, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and more – Easy set-up with Learn Button or DIP Switch on Opener by Leonard Herrera

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Terrible guide but it worked with both the old sears opener and the new genius, no temporary guest pin.

As already noted, the instructions are terrible. Yes, you must FIRST pair the remote with your opener using the STANDARD opener codes (1111, 2222) and THEN use the PIN change procedure to set the actual opener code. They also mention a "temporary" guest pin. I think what they mean is that you can set the secondary code if you only have one opener and then manually change it to something else when you're done I think. I have two openers, so I don't have a "guest pin on time". And yes, machine screws are more like machine screws than wood screws - use any other and you'll be much better off. Well, change the battery. Mine came with a dead battery. In general, after all the problems with programming, it works with old and new openers. May I recommend that, maybe we'll see how it holds up. UPDATE - give it a few months and this controller has worked flawlessly. If it weren't for the manual and the slightly misleading description of the guest option, I would have given 5 stars here!
