My horses have been wearing them for two summers. This year the velcro didn't hold up well so I went back to buy more. They look weird but work well. The stamping of the feet stops almost immediately and the frequency of requests to change shoes decreases. I really wish there was a very large size to fit my design cross. The big ones are too tight for him, and he tears open the front gaiters with his teeth. I have to assume it's discomfort as he can handle flare pants, jump boots and transport boots with no problem. All smaller members of the herd tolerate their leggings quite well.
