I am writing this review after my girlfriend slipped on a wooden ladder and broke her toe. I recently installed it and am writing this review after a few weeks of use. The product is very easy to install. It's sticky enough to stick firmly to the surface but not permanent so it can be removed if needed. The carpet isn't thick, but I see that as an advantage as there is no risk of tripping over the edges and it is easier to vacuum. It's soft enough to bend fins and transitions and stays in place once installed. The carpeted surface provides significant traction, especially when you walk on it with your socks on. The black color seems to pick up dirt and show it off quickly, but I was able to vacuum it up easily.
