Clutch facing eventually fell off after 271,000 miles not that I was unaware of its condition. So I bought a set of 2. The brake pedal pad is slightly worn on the right side but is firmly attached to the pedal. After replacing the brake pedal pad with a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass, I found that soaking the pad in very hot water (not so hot that you couldn't put your hand in it) before installing it made the rubber a little more pliable and flexible. Placing a small mirror on the back and using a flashlight so you can see how the pad fits onto the pedal will speed things up. I replaced the clutch lining this afternoon and it can't have taken more than ten minutes. If I had everything when I started I would shorten the process. The new padding is the same size as the original and feels a bit thicker on the sides. Fits perfectly.
