Review on POWERTEC 70136 4 Inch 2 Inch Reducer by Jermaine Munajj

This product is perfect for connecting my 4" dust collection hose to the smaller hoses on my three old Shop Vac models - 'Aqua-Vac' , Original, and 12 Gal Heavy Duty Wet/Dry. My 4" hose is Powertec 70160 with Powertec 70193 quick disconnects with screw ends clamped on each end. The ends of the 70193 fit snugly into the 4" airway connector and 4" fittings on tools such as the Powertec 70150 rectangular dust cap. To use smaller nozzles, the larger end of the 70136 adapter connects to the 70193 and the smaller end to a Any of the shop's standard hoses fitted. 2.25" O.D. Vac that fits my bench tools and all Shop-Vac accessories. I've read reviews where this product was expected to run through 4" ports or into 2.5" connectors will work, but that is not its purpose. , This is an adapter for connecting tapered ends of male hose. It connects an approx. 3-5/8" OD end fitting of 4" hose to approx. 2.25- Inch OD end fitting for 2.5" tubing, therefore its two holes are 4" and 2.5" fittings. Direct connection to same size fittings requires the flexible cuffs specified in the product description.
