I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but it was bad. Installation was a nightmare

I wasn't expecting anything special but it was poor. Installation was a nightmare. I installed toilets, sinks, faucets, stove top fans, light fixtures, did extensive drywall and painted the house. I'm not new to this kind of stuff. In comparison, this was the worst device I have ever installed. The cabinet features a 1/4" lip designed to be pulled flush with the drywall to ensure the face is snug against the ceiling. For the lip to work, the hole in the ceiling must be very large. The problem is that the arms don't go through the hole with the block when they're on the track. If you have 16 on the center beams, there's no room to install the arms once they're in place. In the end I decided to redo the arms so I didn't have to enlarge the hole. The wire colors did not match the diagram in directions and added some unnecessary breaks to the switch panel to be able to reconnect the switches. I was planning on using a timer on the fan, but despite being wired the same way as in our other bathroom, the fan didn't turn off completely when the timer was plugged in. I tried 2 different timers and both gave the same result: the fan ran slowly when it should have been off. Both timers worked with the fan in the other bathroom so weren't timers. The conventional switch ended up working, which means it's not a wiring error. The bathroom this unit came in has mold issues, so leaving the fan running for up to an hour after a shower was a big part of the plan. The heater squeezed heat so that was good. The vent (using a conventional switch) was not very efficient with no noticeable difference when showering despite placing the unit within 2ft of the showerhead. The light is okay, but the case is porous, allowing light to filter through the vents, revealing the heater and fans. The instructions didn't mention any installation issues, and I've never seen anything that mentions incompatibility with modern switches. Maybe it would be easier for me if the installation didn't make me angry. I would have sent it back but I ordered it months before I had time to install it so I'm pretty sure it has no chance. Don't waste your time and money, spend a little more. I'll spend more because I can't live with it.
