The camera is really easy to set up. The instructions are clear enough, and the phone app walks you through the process of connecting to Wi-Fi and a cell phone. As others have said, the picture quality is excellent and the night vision seems decent. You can watch live video on your phone at any time. I placed mine on the corner of the house - a few feet from the front door - overlooking the driveway, courtyard and street beyond. Luckily passing cars don't fire. It has features that need tweaking: motion sensitivity, mic volume, speaker volume, alarm clock, etc. After testing with a second person, I found that the mic and speaker work reasonably well even a few feet from the porch. I turned off the alarm. EDIT: motion detection is nice. if it works. I tested it a lot during setup, and overall it did what it was supposed to do: send a notification to the phone app that motion was detected while recording video for 10 seconds. But now, a few months later, it only works sporadically. I'll try adjusting the sensitivity again and see if that helps. For now I'm reducing my rating to three stars.
