Review on Noctua NF S12A PWM Premium Quiet by Sergey Chodavarapu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very quiet.: Internal components

I was researching good case fans as I needed some as air intakes for my new PC. Noctua are known for their quiet fans and I can attest to that as I can't hear them at all; Even if I take off the side panels and put my ear to them, I hardly hear anything. The airflow rate on this particular model also seems good, but I'm not an expert on the subject, so I'd suggest researching whether you need a specific amount of airflow to enter (or exit) your computer. Although only $20 each, it's pretty good. The installation is quite easy. It comes with 4 rubber mounting pins that fit into the slots on the computer case. They're a bit awkward to put in at first, as you have to pull them (they stretch a bit) until you hear a kind of click. If you need real screws, they are also included. I recommend using pliers on the rubber mount. Other than that, it's not hard at all and I had no problem solving them. It also comes with a noise dampener to limit RPM if you want, and an extension cable if your motherboard's fan socket is too far away. Appearance of the fan itself is obviously subjective and some people find it ugly. Since I installed them as air intakes and because of the positioning of my computer, they don't show much, but otherwise they don't quite match my case. Not a big problem and you can easily see what it looks like in the photos.
