Honestly, this is a great product. The main disadvantage is that the glass is transparent. When I use it on my desk for work, even on the lowest settings, it stings my eyes if I accidentally look directly at it. When I first used it, I had to tape a napkin to the glass to soften the beam of light falling on me. I didn't have to use the spray to modify the glass. I'm not even sure I'm going to do it right. And if I can't use the lamp at full power as intended, what's the use (especially if I'm afraid to use it at the lowest setting). So I returned it. I don't know how others can deal with it.
