I was glad to get a battery powered camera so I didn't have to run cables. Installation was easy, picture quality is good, but this system has many disadvantages. My main complaint is that I have to choose between getting a reasonably long recording or lasting my battery life. Even with the system set for the best recording/least battery life, the camera starts recording late and often stops recording even when something else is happening. Luckily I didn't have to rely on records for important things. It connects to Homekit so I bought this camera but when I connected it to Homekit the battery drained in about 2 weeks so this option doesn't work with this camera. I need to assemble a solar charger to keep it charged if I want to use it with Homekit. For that price I should have bought a wired system.
