Review on 🧱 Stainless Steel Bottom Grid for Kraus KHU100-30 Single Bowl Sink - 30-inch, 27.5" Dimensions by John Collins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The price is great but if you have money I don't recommend buying something better.

I've had this for about a month now and while I don't hate it I don't like it either. I needed a grate for my new sink. This one seemed like a viable option given its reviews and price. Well, for the price, I'm definitely not upset. It does the job. and I need something ASAP. Now I can put pots, pans, etc. in the sink without rattling. High-quality workmanship, rubber stops are retained, nothing is bent, etc. But. I do not like it. Firstly, from an aesthetic point of view, I think it looks terrible because there is so much space on each side. My sink is 30 x 17 so this fits the bill best based on the dimensions and options. There was another brand that was more in the $100+ range, which I thought was outrageous. But now I think if I had known it would bother me, I might have just bitten the bullet. Side room isn't the only issue. In fact, the big problem is the spacing between the grid lines. $100+ had thinner spacing but I didn't think it would make a difference. boy would it matter I didn't think the pitch would make a big difference, but it does. Everything gets stuck there. Yes I lift it up to put away food etc but what I mean is that every time I go to wash the dishes the plates and cups are on the rack and almost all the dishes are underneath. They fall between every grid line, it's just ridiculous. I literally have to pick up a pot or something and tell the kids to put their utensils in the pot instead of just throwing them in the sink. It's actually very annoying. But then again, the price was great. I needed it for the moment to keep it, but I'm actively looking for better versions now that I know what suits me and my family.
