Below is an overview of the Kingart 1050A Special Natural Goat Hair Mop. The brushes arrived on time in a sturdy box (Figure-1). Six oval mops in the following sizes (Figure-2): • 300-1/8 • 300-1/4 • 300-3/8 • 300-1/2 • 300-3/4 • 300-1 There are several different types of brush hair (Sable is the best and most expensive), it's goat hair. Don't buy goat hair on round brushes as they don't hold the tip well; However, they are excellent brushes when used for blurring techniques and wide, thick strokes. As for the materials, they work best with watercolor and gouache, but I can use them with other mediums as well. QUALITY: These are well constructed brushes with tapered wooden handles that fit comfortably in my hand and look good. Although I've only used them a handful of times, they perform exactly as I would expect from a mop. The tip has a black nickel finish and securely grips the bristles. There was no hesitation in the party. I can use these brushes for a very long time. USE: I have completed a watercolor, gouache and mixed media. These brushes hold a ton of water and will keep you painting; Instead of constantly going back and forth to load more color. I haven't experienced any hair loss...not a single stubble. This image is in mixed media (watercolor, gouache) featuring these mops, multiple rounds, spotters and rigging. (Figure 3). CONCLUSION: Excellent, well built, holds a lot of colour; especially the 300-1 brush and they even look good. In my opinion a good set at a reasonable price. FYI: Brushes are the tools of an artist's craft. Take care of her. Always make sure they are dry before storing them and like all brushes, but especially mops, never leave them in water.
