Review on 🔧 Enhance Performance & Durability: Mag-Hytec Rear Differential Cover for 86-12 Ford F-250/F350 Truck & SUV with 12-10.25 Axle by Carlos Deuschle

I bought this cover, installed it and am very happy with my ignorance. Then I found a YouTube series by Banks Power where they review aftermarket differential covers and the fluid dynamics they contain. Banks reveals that this case is much inferior to the factory case due to the 90 degree angles and flat back. The cutout of this cap used in his video shows the fluid being heavily aerated and huge bubbles escaping from the gear area. Bubbles are bad because where there is air there is no lubrication. The flat back allows the fluid to do more work, resulting in more heat and further leaching of powertrain performance. Watch Banks' video before ordering ANY aftermarket differential cover. I rely on my Super Duty to haul my large trailer hundreds of miles a day while we travel. In summer it is a lot of stress and heat. There's no chance I'll make another trip with this differential cover on. I am changing to OEM 8C3Z-4033-A and selling it on ebay.
